Curated by Miriam Williamson, MAPBM presented a sound night local artists/composers Christ Caines and Gail Priest.

Chris Caines will be presented new live audiovisual project ‘Logue’ on the big screen. A visual music piece composed from audiovisual field recordings collected over a ten-year period across Europe, Australia, the US and Asia. These fragments are composed into arcs of abstract and interpolated memory using the rhythms inherent in the audio signatures of place and the textures of images collected while in motion.

Supported by Gail Priest performing recent work from research during her time at the Melbourne Electronic Sound Studio (MESS), exploring ideas around parts and wholes, fields and backgrounds. Her live exploratory music uses voice, micro sounds of objects, field recordings, and electronics as feeds.
